EmergentX is a venture studio dedicated to building innovative ideas into thriving businesses. We help create high-potential, scalable projects and incubate disruptive ventures in-house, using our expertise in emerging technologies such as blockchain, to take ideas from concept to market. Before EmergentX, our founding team launched Paidy, a payments company in Japan, which was acquired by PayPal Inc. in September 2021. They also created Wavecell, a cloud communication company based in Singapore, which was acquired by 8x8 Inc. in July 2019.

The Role

We’re looking for a Junior Blockchain / Solidity Developer to complement our experienced team and grow with us across a portfolio of crypto-native startups.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll help shape smart contract development across multiple projects, guided by senior engineers and our technology pioneers. You’ll gain real-world experience working across a wide stack and will be encouraged to explore micro-projects, proof of concepts and new tooling along the way.

Responsibilities

• Write, test and deploy smart contracts in Solidity using Hardhat and Foundry
• Contribute to application development by integrating with Thirdweb, Moralis and custom protocols
• Learn to audit and improve existing smart contract codebases
• Participate in internal reviews and work closely with third-party auditors
• Explore advanced topics like Account Abstraction as part of R&D and experimentation
• Help build integrations between on-chain and off-chain services (web2 meets web3)
• Stay on top of new tooling, EIPs, L2s and best practices
• Collaborate across the team to ship real products, not just POCs
